<description>You've probably been told by now, but Day 1 is the first day of menstrual discharge. I'm in my mid-40s and started to get night sweats. I did a hormone test (spitting in little vials every other day or so for most of a month to track levels over a cycle) and found, like many women, I have a bit of estrogen dominance. I have been using a progesterone cream 3 weeks out of 4 and it's killed the night sweats and smoothed out some of the PMS symptoms. If you are in your late 30s or later, you might want to check out some of the books available on perimenopause and/or menopause. Christiane Northrup has one, and somebody wrote a couple of books called something like "what your doctor never told you about (peri)menopause."</description>
